STEM-Liner
The STEMLiner is an immersive and intentional endeavor for low-income students to build on their natural abilities through experiential learning opportunities at the NASA Space Center in Houston. Students embark on a 3-day educational journey to complete 7 missions as they navigate various complex simulations with NASA mentors and military personnel.
STEMLiner aims to inspire young minds to think critically and create a positive impact on the world around them through careers in the STEM fields.
The goal of this experience is to provide Middle School and High School students a hands-on experiential learning opportunity on site with trained military personnel and NASA engineers. Students have access to the Mission Control room, Neutral Buyoancy Laboratory (NBL) the ISS Mock Up and the Moon Rock Vault. Each workshop is aligned with Next Generation Science Standards and intended to build on the 3-primary concepts students learn during school year (1. Life Science, 2. Earth and Space science and 3. Physical Science, Technology and Engineering).
