Nutrition

We aim to foster community resilience and healing by building networks and coalitions that include social services, behavioral health, community organizations, educational institutions, businesses and faith-based stakeholders that engage at-risk families with the necessary resources and support to help them face everyday challenges.

One of the many challenges our families and community members face is food insecurity caused my political, social and economic factors. When people don't have enough to eat and don't know where their next meal will come from it adds an additional layer of disparities to vulnerable populations.

Through our USDA federally funded nutrition program, we provide a wide variety of diverse free lunches and snacks in high need areas of South Los Angeles. Our program targets children and youth 18 and under during the school year and in the summer. Impacting our community and tackling health and well-being matters. We take pride in serving over 100,000 meals annually.
